Vlogmas So Far

So I decided to try my hand at the yearly YouTube holiday tradition of Vlogmas. Vlogmas is essentially where one records and posts blogs every day leading up to Christmas. Having done vlogs previously myself I thought this might be a golden opportunity to get back in the game. Boy, was I wrong. This is tough. Vlogmas for someone who has an office job makes for some very mediocre videos. Being only a week in, I’m thinking of changing the ways I participate in Vlogmas.

Moving forward I’ve decided to prioritize these short vignettes that have some sort of holiday theme. I haven’t decided to totally drop the vlogs completely, but shooting cinematic shorts is helping me get back into filming regularly. Using Vlogmas to practice story telling exercises through camera work has given me a whole new lease on this year’s Vlogmas.
